Abraham Zapruder a vendu son film à Time Life peu de temps après l’assassinat du Président John F. Kennedy pour la somme de 150 000$. En 1975, Time Life a revendu le film à la famille Zapruder pour la valeur symbolique de 1$. En 1999, le gouvernement américain a payé la famille Zapruder 16 000 000$ après l’avoir saisi comme document historique national. La caméra Bell & Howell utilisée par A. Zapruder est en montre au Smithsonian Institute à Washington.

The prize paid for the film of the assassination of JFK.

Abraham Zapruder sold his film to Time Life soon after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy for the amount of 150 000$. In 1975, Time Life sold it back to the Zapruder family pour the token sum of 1$. In 1999, the American government paid the Zapruder family 16 000 000$ after they had seized it as a national historical document. The Bell & Howell camera used by A, Zapruder is shown at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington.
